The Ares I consists of a solid rocket booster (SRB) first stage, and a hydrogen fuelled second stage. The first stage flew once in the Ares I-X mission in 2009. Shortly after, the Constellation program and the Ares I launch vehicle would be cancelled and replaced with the Commercial Crew Program for access to the ISS, and the Artemis program for lunar flights.

This model was designed by zeegiraf, the manual can be downloaded (for free) from them here. We provide a full part pack with all required parts to assemble the model. Unless otherwise mentioned, stickers must be printed.
