His models have been listed on our site for some time, but after officially joining our Designer Program this year, the collaboration has grown stronger. To our fans & followers, Artemy is best known for his striking scale car models, brought to life with precise engineering and bold creativity. Here's what Artemy shared with us about his journey, inspirations, build process, and a few unexpected facts along the way.
WHAT STARTED YOUR PASSION FOR BLOCKS?
"One day in 2013, my girlfriend (now my wife) and I were walking through a shopping mall and passed by a blocks store. I was hit by a wave of nostalgia — I didn’t have much blocks as a child because I grew up in a low-income family.
I thought, “Now I’m an adult and I can buy blocks for myself.” The most important thing was that my wife didn’t mind the purchase and still supports my creativity. At first, I bought a generic set, and only six months later I got my first Technic set — an orange quad bike."
WHAT MODELS ARE YOU WORKING ON NOW?
"I’ve designed the Porsche 964 Turbo and want to release another modification in a different color — beyond that, I haven’t decided yet. I’m also working on a commission project, but I can’t share details due to an NDA."

WHAT TYPES OF MODELS DO YOU ENJOY BUILDING?
"These days I rarely buy sets — I mostly purchase individual parts. So any official set brings me great joy. It’s nice when you don’t have to invent anything and can just relax and build by the instructions."

"I’ve tried building the Dodge Viper twice — first in 1:10 scale, then in 1:8 — but for some strange reason, I abandoned both attempts. Maybe one day I’ll finally finish the Dodge Viper."

TALK US THROUGH YOUR PROCESS. HOW DO YOU BRING A MODEL TO LIFE?
"I just find blueprints of the cars I want to build and try to choose a suitable scale. Lately, 1:12 seems to work best."

What’s your dream car?
"Ever since the first Transformers movie came out, it’s been the Chevrolet Camaro (fifth generation). I like that version the most."

"I have a master's degree in automotive engineering and I design car models using building blocks, but I still don't have a driver's license — and I've never driven a car."

OTHER THAN BLOCKS, WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?
"Actually, my main hobby is K-pop. I’ve been listening to it since 2008 and I’m a huge fan of girl groups. I’ve attended concerts by STAYC and LE SSERAFIM while vacationing in South Korea. My current favorite group is tripleS, and I dream of going to their concert."
